Influential Women in eSports: Vol. 2

Women’s inclusion in gaming has skyrocketed over the past few years. Despite all of the progress that has been made, only 6% of women call themselves “gamers.” So, which women in the 6% are increasing visibility and becoming role models for young girl gamers? Gamercraft is proud to present 7 of the most influential women in gaming.

1. Pokimane

Imane Anys aka Pokimane

Pokimane is the 14th most followed person on Twitch with over 3.1 million followers and 66 million total views. She also has 3.5 million Youtube subscribers and over 266 million views on the platform. Pokimane currently has two Youtube channels, her main account “Pokimane” and her secondary account “Poki ASMR”. In 2018, the Shorty Awards named her “Best Twitch Streamer of the Year”. She also participated in the Fortnite Pro-Am. The main games she plays include Fortnite, League of Legends, and more.

2. IHasCupquake

Tiffany Herrera aka IHasCupquake

Tiffany has over 6 million subscribers on Youtube. Her channel covers a variety of topics and games including Minecraft, The Sims, and more.

3. SSSniperwolf

Alia Shelesh aka SSSniperwolf

The UK native has over 16 million subscribers on Youtube. She currently has a net worth of 2.5 million dollars. She was awarded the Kid’s Choice Award in 2019. She currently plays Fortnite, Call of Duty, Overwatch, and more. She also does react videos and produces her own vlogs.

4. Valkyrae

Rachell Hofstetter aka Valkyrae

Valkyrae was the first female content creator to be signed to 100 Thieves. She moved into the organization’s content creator house last year. She currently has over 800,000 followers on twitch and over 10 million total viewers. Rachell recently participated in the Fortnite 2018 and 2019 Pro-Am tournaments. She primarily streams Fortnite.

5. Fangs

Jessica Duban aka Fangs

Jessica Duban is the self-proclaimed “Queen of FIFA”.  She streams Call of Duty, Minecraft, and of course FIFA. She has two secondary Youtube accounts one where she shoots videos with her husband, streamer GI Doobie (FOOBIE), and one where she reacts to popular content (Fangs Says). She currently has almost 1.5 million subs on her primary YouTube account, Fangs.

6. Gaming with Jen

Jennifer Flag aka Gaming with Jen

Jennifer flag makes about 2.4 million a year from Youtube alone. She plays Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, and more. She won “Best in Gaming” at the 2019 Shorty awards. She currently has over 5 million subscribers on Youtube. 

7. Yammy

Yasmin Uddin aka Yammy

Yammy is known for her Minecraft, Roblox, and Sims 4 gameplay. She also formed an all-female gaming group called the Pixel Pact. Yammy currently has over 2 million subscribers on Youtube.
